Madison Square Park in New York City is a special location to these guys. We chose to do this engagement shoot with the Flatiron Building in the background because it is where they met. I was creating some interesting images using reflections and as they were laughing and joking around I captured this moment just before they kissed. I love the feeling this shot gives and the emotion is real. LOVE IT!Read More
What a great moment!
After hours of prep we brought in dad to see his daughter ready to walk down the aisle. First mom lost it! Then the sister,. then dad. After trying so hard to keep it together Deanna lost it too. I wanted to hide behind my lens and cry myself. Such a sweet hello.
Check out this amazing first dance at The Surf Club on The Sound 280 Davenport Road New Rochelle, NY!
The song was a slow dance and the lights were down low. Christopher’s Studio was the photography team and we situated the cameras opposite the family and bridal party so we could see the reactions. Then we set the fog off! A special effect fog we use for first dances to make them more magical. These guys have it all! What an amazing way to start an amazing marriage.
The Castle Hotel and Spa is a beautiful location for wedding photography. We captured this great image through some reflections we found in the bridal suite.
I captured this shot using a super wide angle lens at Glen Island Harbor Club. The sky was fantastic as a storm just ended. Give us a call for your wedding photography and video needs.
When we get that call for a Glen Island wedding shoot we get pretty happy! We love to create images there and the staff are so amazing. From the old castle in the park to the beautiful waterfront view we create beautiful wedding day memories.
Before you meet with a florist…
It is important to do your homework before you meet with a florist. Research what types of flowers you like, names of flowers and what arrangements you would like.
Finding Your Florist
You should book a florist early on in your wedding planning since they book up fast, especially if you are getting married in peak season.
Book an appointment so you can get to know them and see if they can bring your vision to life.
From the bouqet to the table décor, a big chunk of your wedding budget will be your flowers. It is important that you inform your florist what your budget is. Your favorite flower may be out of your price range or are not in season but luckily some flowers have look-alikes.
Be specific when speaking to your florist. Many flowers come in all shapes and sizes, so it is very important to specify what you like and dislike.
Coordinate the time that your flowers are delivered with your photographer’s arrival. You want to make sure that your vision is captured.
Make sure your flowers don’t take up too much room. You don’t want your tables to be empty, but you want your guests to be able to see each other!
Because your pet has such an important place in your heart, why not include them in your engagement session? Not only will this creative idea allow you to show off your beloved pet, but it will also make your engagement photos unique! Here are 5 great ideas to include your pets in engagement photos:
Location is a very important factor in making your photos work. Make sure your dream location allows pets on their grounds. You should also make sure that your pet will be comfortable in that environment. If you furry-friend is easily-distractable, it may be a good idea to choose a quiet environment.
Accessories will make your photos even more fun! Some ideas are bow ties, sweaters or holding a sign (save the date, names, etc.). If you accessorize, make sure it complements what you are wearing.
3. Pet Friendly Photographer
It is very important for you to hire a pet friendly photographer. Ask the photographer if they like pets. If they do not, the photographer may not be a good match. A good way to see if a photographer likes pets is by viewing their photos and seeing if pets are present in them.
4. Behind the Scenes care
Of course you will want some photos of just you and your soon to be spouse! It will be a good idea to have a friend or family member on sight to take care of and hold your pet. This person will also be able to get your pets attention, making your photos ideal.
5. Patience & Positivity
You will need to be patient with your pet. They have (probably) never had a professional photo shoot before. They will not be as prepared as you. Make sure you stay positive through the experience. Bring treats to reward your dog!

What a surprise it was to visit the Innisfree Gardens this weekend. Such a lovely location for a picnic, engagement and even engagement photography. Love this shot of Lauren and Patrick near the old garden workshop.
The colors and textures really make for a great backdrop to this beautiful couple.
Finding some great locations for portraits of the groom is just as important as the bride. Here we brought the groom to a cellar for portraits. We only had 1 window and the lighting coming in was all natural. You can see more of this shot at www.christophersstudio.net
